ENAP is a definitive curettage procedure performed with a knife.

LANAP stands for Laser Assisted New Attachment procedure done by Nd:YAG laser.

Drugs, such as sodium sulfide, alkaline sodium hypochlorite solution (Antiformin) and phenol are called caustic drugs previously used for chemical curettage.

These drugs are not used now as their action is uncontrolled.
